Welcome back!
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Lawrence Ave! We are excited to get all of our students back and here how everyone's summer has been! We are looking forward to learning many new skills and activities while getting to know all of our new and returning students all over again. Watch this short video to get an idea about what your child will be learning this year!
Community Resources
Open Skate
Our 3rd graders will be skating all Fall! If you want to get a jump start and get a little practice, feel free to check out the open skate times!
Open Swim
Our 4th graders will be starting our Learn to Swim Program this year! Your child may be swimming in the Fall semester or in the Spring semester. Take a look at some of the open swim hours for for Merritt and Maxcy swim facilities located on the SUNY Potsdam campus if you want to get a head start on your swimming skills!
North Country Now Rec Page
North Country Now Recreation is a great page for community health and fitness information! The website provides a Health and Wellness calendar with day to day activities to participate in. Physical Education is not only just important in school, but also at home and in the community! Feel free to browse to website and get involved in the cool and healthy events with your family!
Hiking Opportunities
Our 2nd graders have the opportunity to go hiking on our own Munter Trail during the spring! Take advantage of some of the beginning and challenges hikes and peaks Northern NY has to offer. Hiking is great lifelong skill and something that you can do as a family!

4th Graders
Learn to Swim Program
As you know, our 4th Graders will be participating in our Learn to Swim Program this year! We encourage all of all 4th grade families to download the Remind app and join the "4th Grade Physical Education" group. Remind provides easy text notification and will provide an easy way to update changes in the swim schedule and necessary items for class. Click on the link below to join!
Other Grade Levels

Hopefully we will be bringing Remind to our other grade levels in the near future! This will help provide notifications on events such as skating, skiing, our many field trips, as well as outdoor activities. If all go as planned with our 4th grade parents, we will shortly have a grouping for all our our grade levels in physical education!
